Reunited and it feels so good! creative werks, a leader in packaging design, manufacturing, engineering, and co-packing, has been in the midst of a tremendous growth spurt. The company was operating out of multiple facilities with its corporate headquarters in Bensenville.

As they grew, they needed a new space that would fuel better collaboration between cross-functional teams. They decided it was time to relocate their corporate headquarters to a bigger facility, but continue operating out of Bensenville.

"Our team is growing and we want to provide a work atmosphere that fuels creativity and improves communication," states founder and President Steve Schroeder.

Weighing all options, they decided to tap into Elk Grove Village's Tax Increment Financing program. creative werks was already operating out of a 245,000 square foot space in Elk Grove Village for four years. The TIF fund would allow them to update offices to accommodate all departments that support creative werks' growing business needs.

Elk Grove Village granted TIF funds to creative werks, and in July 2016, the company announced its corporate headquarters relocation to Elk Grove Village. creative werks extended its lease, and is continuing operations in Bensenville.

Within the expanded space in Elk Grove, creative werks is currently developing a collaborative working environment with modern and innovative office space. Executive teams will have the opportunity to work better together all under one roof.

Not only is creative werks growing, the team also dedicates its time to giving back to the community in which the team works and lives in. creative werks is a partner of the Greater Chicago Food Depository in Bensenville. They are also looking into potential partnerships with Elk Grove Village's charitable organizations.

creative werks is a company that cares about sustainability. The company is an EPA Green Power Leader and runs nearly one million square feet of space on wind energy. The new location in Elk Grove Village will run on wind power (just like its other locations), and will be equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the entire building.
