Performance Lighting Chicago, located on 395 Kent Avenue, is a full-service production company specializing in theatrical stage lighting along with additional services in audio, video, staging, and labor to create unforgettable events.

The company was founded in 1985 by two brothers, Douglas and Bob Peterson. Douglas has a background as a CPA small business consultant and was a U.S. marine. Bob was a stage lighting professional. Together, they had the knowledge and vision to start something of their own. Over the years, Performance Lighting Chicago has built a remarkable stage lighting portfolio.

Creating memorable experiences with light

The company first started out in the concert touring industry working with renowned artists like George Thorogood, George Benson, REO Speedwagon, and Bob Seger. Since then, they've gone to work with mainstream artists like Jackson Browne, Pantera, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, and KISS.

But it doesn’t stop at music. Performance Lighting Chicago recently provided lighting for the Chicago Wolves, installing 24 lighting fixtures within the arena that highly integrate with video and pyro effects. They’ve also worked with renowned brands like Nike to create memorable consumer experiences.
